YT trainee
You may be able to reduce the amount you have to pay.
If you apply for a discount or exemption, you must continue to pay your current instalments until your bill is amended.
If someone in your household is a YT trainee, you may be able to claim a discount.
A YT trainee must be:
- under 25 and
- undertaking training under the Employment and Training Act 1973, funded by the Skills Funding Agency or Young People’s Learning Agency.
