School or college leavers
You may be able to reduce the amount you have to pay.
If you apply for a discount or exemption, you must continue to pay your current instalments until your bill is amended.
If someone in your household is a school or college leaver, you may be able to claim a discount.
A school or college leaver must:
- be under 20 years old
- have left school or college between 1st May and 31st October in any year and
- be undertaking a qualifying course of education, no higher than A-level or equivalent
The school leaver will be disregarded until 1st November in that year.
