Care home fees
The standard fee rate that Bolton Council pays to care homes that care predominantly for older adults, is set out below. Homes mainly for younger adults may have different prices.

For all placements funded by Bolton Council you will need to confirm with the homeowner or manager the exact price (in consultation with Bolton Council). You will need to ask if a top up fee is required when choosing a care home.
On the following pages, the column on the right “Placements accepted at the Local Authority rate” shows if the home accepts placements at the Bolton care home fee rate. We also show if top ups are required on some or all placements at the care home.
