E - Learning
Me-Learning is the online learning platform that has up to 130 online courses, whether you want advice about GDPR, leading a meeting, customer service or dealing with loss or bereavement. Me-Learning enables learning at a time, pace and place to suit you. Courses are flexible, adaptable and easily accessible, and cover a wide range of relevant subjects.
A full licence will give you unlimited access to all courses until March the 31st 2024 for just £20 +VAT per person. To request a Me-learning license please complete the Me-Learning Request form.

Moodle is a free e-learning platform that offers the following courses to the children workforce:
- Keeping Children Safe
- Introduction to Early Help
- Elective Home Education
- Childminder

Early Years
You can also find out about sector specific training from the Start Well Service who work with the early years workforce and other professionals, to ensure the best possible start in life for every child.
Inclusive Education and SEND Training
We are delighted to announce the third phase of the Inclusive Education and SEND Training Program.
In addition to the SENCo, teachers and TA’s, some of the courses are now open to pastoral staff as well.
All the courses within the programme are available at a cost of £50 per place.

Mental Health
We are working in partnership with Public Health to provide the high quality Mental Health training programme to help people who work, volunteer or live in the Bolton area to gain insights into their own mental health and wellbeing, as well as learn how to recognise the signs of poor mental wellbeing in others, provide support and advocate for mental health awareness in the workplace.
There are a number of different courses on offer, ranging from one-hour introductory sessions, to courses with up to seven sessions on different days. Training is available both online and in person.
In addition to our program for those who work or volunteer in the borough, we also offer our key courses to anyone living in Bolton. These courses have a word “Community” in the title. Full details of these and other courses and how to register are in the brochure below

Training resources
This is an example of a training matrix that you can use in your setting, to record staff completion of mandatory training. It is a good way to show staff, and Ofsted where your setting is up to in undertaking both mandatory and CPD training.

Health and Safety - supporting people
- Safe Handling and Administration of Medication L2 for Children, including Ofsted requirements gives delegates the knowledge required to administer medicines safely and efficiently to children in line with policies, legislation, safety practice and Ofsted standards.
