Supporting your independence

Social care and health services work together to support you if you become ill or frail as a result of your condition. We will support you to maintain your independence and control over your life.

These are some of the things we can help you with:

  • social care - direct payments - where you could have funding and buy your own care
  • help for your carers, including help with your parental duties
  • information about appliances and adapting your property
  • home care
  • mobile meals - meals on wheels
  • disabled people - parking permits or subsidised travel.
