The cost of living is hitting people hard and Bolton Council, together with its partner organisations, have joined forces to help those in need with specific help with food, fuel, and money.
We have always offered a wide variety of support services for those struggling with their finances, but as prices continue to rise an increasing number of home owners and local businesses are finding it hard to make ends meet.
Great British Summer Savings
You may have heard about some recent national measures to help with the cost of living. These include increases to wages and pensions, lower energy bills, and freezes on transport and healthcare charges.
More recently, the Government has announced their ‘Great British Summer Savings’, a UK wide scheme to help families enjoy the summer. This includes cuts to the costs of children’s days out, and free bus travel for all children aged 5–15 during August. Find out more about Summer Savings
