When and where to register a death
You need to make an appointment to register a death within 5 working days unless a coroner is investigating the circumstances of the death.
For deaths in Bolton, you must register the death at Bolton Register Office which is located in the One Stop Shop of the Town Hall.
If you are unable to attend at the One Stop Shop you can make a declaration to any other register office in England and Wales.
If you want to register a death with us it is done at Bolton Town Hall by appointment.
