Book an appointment
You need to make an appointment to register a death within 5 days of the Medical Examiner issuing a certificate, unless a coroner is investigating the circumstances of the death.
For deaths in Bolton, you can register:
- In person at the One Stop Shop in Bolton Town Hall
- Over the telephone (from 9th November 2026)
