Green-fingered Bolton residents will be able to stock up on supplies from the comfort of their own home thanks to a new service being offered by Heaton Fold Garden Centre.
The centre and café are currently closed due to the coronavirus lockdown, but the new home delivery service means avid gardeners will not miss out.
From tomorrow (Tuesday, April 21), customers will be able to place orders for summer bedding plants for beds, pots or hanging baskets, perennials, shrubs, soil, compost and much more at good value prices.
Orders can be made by phone or email only and a friendly team of staff will be on standby to talk customers through the items available and arrange a suitable delivery slot Monday to Friday.
Deliveries will be focused within a 5-mile radius and will be completely free for orders over £40.
A £5 charge will apply on orders under £40, deliveries exceeding 5 miles and any ‘missed’ deliveries that need to be rescheduled.
Payment must be made by debit or credit card over the phone and contactless delivering will ensure the safety of both customers and delivery drivers.
Items will be left on the doorstep and drivers will wait at a safe distance to ensure they are collected.
Heaton Fold Garden Centre is run by Bolton Council and offers valuable work experience to adults with learning difficulties.

From tomorrow, orders can be placed between 10am-3pm (Monday to Friday) by calling 01204 336848 or 07976 895495, or via email on heaton.fold@bolton.gov.uk.
Please allow of a five working day lead-in time for all deliveries.
