Mayor and Father Christmas
Published: Thursday, 21st Nov 2019

The Mayor’s Christmas Fair this year takes place on Saturday 7 December.

Around 50 local charities will be raising money for a variety of causes. All stalls are from local charities and community groups. There will be loads of bargains on lots of stalls, Father Christmas Grotto (fee applies), giant tombola, and other raffles and tombolas.

Refreshments including Greenhalgh’s mince pies, Park Cakes, tea, coffee and juices will be on sale and all proceeds will be going to the Mayor’s charities.

Entrance is just 50p for adults, and free for children. There is free entry to the Christmas Fair if you are paying to see Father Christmas.

It takes place in the Festival Hall and Lancaster Suite at 10am-2pm with entry via Albert Halls doors.

The Mayor of Bolton Cllr Hilary Fairclough has said “This annual event is a special one in the Mayor’s calendar. Not only is it a fun event and a chance to raise money for the Mayor’s charities, but also a chance for me to extend the welcome for other Bolton charities and local community groups to be part of the fair, run a stall free of charge and to make money for their chosen charity. This is a traditional event that always proves to be very popular and fun for all the family.”
