Town hall shone pink and blue

The landmark building was lit up in support of parents who have suffered the devastation of losing a baby.

The national campaign was held from October 9 to 15 to raise awareness about the key issues affecting those who have experienced the loss of a child.

The town hall was illuminated from dusk until dawn to show our backing for the week.

Baby loss occurs in many forms including stillbirth, miscarriage, neonatal death, and postnatal including sudden infant death syndrome.

Baby Loss Awareness Week finished on October 15, which is also recognised as International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

Leader of Bolton Council, Cllr Linda Thomas, said: “We hope that turning the town hall pink and blue will encourage more people to talk about baby loss.
