Bolton Pride launches today with a packed programme of events over the weekend.

The theme of this year's Pride is Reflect, Celebrate, Educate and highlights include the town hall being lit up in rainbow colours, a parade from Queens Park, and a family fun day in the town centre.

Full list of events below:-

Friday, 21st September

  • An Evening of Remembrance, 4pm-6pm, in Victoria Square. The Bolton Pride team will switch on the rainbow lights at the town hall at 6.30pm.
  • The Rocky Horrow Picture Show, 8pm, Light Cinema, Market Place Shopping Centre.

Saturday, 22nd September

  • Bolton Pride Parade, 11am start from Queens Park (Chorley New Road entrnace). The parade will follow a route through the park to Spa Road, through Deansgate and into Victoria Square.
  • Main stage concert, 12.30pm-6.30pm, Victoria Square. Headliner Gareth Gates.
  • Bolton FM stage, Noon-5pm, Market Place Shopping Centre.

Sunday, 23rd September

  • Family fun day, 11am-5pm, Victoria Square, Newport St and Market Place Shopping Centre.
