Following the success of its debut edition, Visit Bolton has launched a refreshed second edition of the Insider’s Handbook – a free, curated tourism guide showcasing the very best of Bolton.

The guide continues to champion Bolton’s thriving independent business community while shining a spotlight on each of the borough’s district centres, celebrating the unique character, heritage and attractions that make every area special.

The handbook is packed with inspiration.

The Insider’s Handbook forms a key part of Bolton’s Visitor Economy Strategy, supporting the council’s ambition to raise the profile of Bolton as a vibrant destination and encourage more people to spend time, money and leisure time in the town.

Cllr Debbie Newall, Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member for Culture, said:

The new edition reflects the continued growth of Bolton’s visitor economy and highlights a packed programme of events taking place across the borough throughout the year.

Popular attractions and flagship events including the Bolton Food and Drink Festival, IRONMAN 70.3 Bolton, and the Put Big Light on Festival once again feature prominently, alongside new experiences, cultural activities and seasonal events designed to attract visitors and drive economic growth.

Readers will also find recommendations for some of Bolton's most loved heritage and outdoor attractions; from the Grade I listed Smithills Hall and family favourite Smithills Open Farm to the scenic landscapes of Jumbles Country Park and Turton and Entwistle Reservoir.
