A community-focused refurbishment of the bowling hut at Mytham Park is set to deliver lasting benefits for local residents.
Bolton Council and partners are planning major improvements to secure the future of this much-loved local asset.
The project will see a full refurbishment of the building and will include a new roof, replacement windows, new toilets, upgraded insulation, fixing damp and a complete mechanical and electrical upgrade including full rewiring.
Subject to planning permission, work will start in Autumn 2026 and finish ahead of the 2027 bowling season.
The scheme, funded by the District Centres Fund, forms part of the council’s wider commitment to invest in community facilities, ensuring they remain accessible, welcoming and fit for purpose for years to come.
The refurbishment will support the bowling club and its members by providing an improved environment that continues to bring people together, promotes wellbeing and strengthens community connections.
The Mytham Park bowling hut is one of several initiatives supporting district centres and local facilities, reinforcing Bolton Council’s commitment to investing in communities and delivering meaningful social value.
