Facilities Management and Estates Management services across land and buildings owned by Bolton Council are to be brought back in-house from today (May 13, 2025),
This means the repairs and maintenance of buildings and land owned by Bolton Council will be managed by the council itself rather than an external company.
Cllr Akhtar Zaman, Bolton Council’s Deputy Leader, said:
“Going forward, the council’s in-house corporate property team will deliver the valuable and helpful service across our estate.
“This will support staff, elected members and customers across the borough.
“Future service benefits include decreased operational complexity, increased value for money, streamlined communication and better alignment with the council’s objectives.
“The in-house service will deliver a proactive and customer-focused approach, working collaboratively with internal and external partners to take a borough-wide view on the best use of land and buildings owned by Bolton Council.”
