Bolton Council’s employment support team has celebrated its 15th anniversary.

Workshop 15 birthdayAn event for colleagues and partner organisations was held at the Crompton Place offices last week to mark the milestone as well as to officially launched the town centre premises which opened last October.

Bolton Council's Workshop provides free support to help residents find sustainable, long-term employment.

They offer advice on skills, qualifications, and work experience alongside practical help with applications and interviews.

The Workshop has helped thousands of people into work, thanks to their experience and strong links with local employers.

Bolton Council’s Chief Executive Sue Johnson said:

“The teams’ work has had a really positive impact for Bolton residents, and this is evident in the feedback received.

“This event was a great opportunity to recognise the team’s hard work as well as thanking our partners for their support.

“The council has an ambitious plan to grow and develop Bolton as a place to live, work, invest and study as part of the 2030 Vision strategy and The Workshop is integral to this.  

“As a council, we are keen to ensure that local people benefit from the opportunities coming out of these developments and have as good a chance as possible to find work and help grow the local economy.”

The Workshop is based at 27-29 Victoria Square, Crompton Place Shopping Centre.
