Join us every weekend in June for the new Magical Stories Extra Fun Sessions at Smithills Hall.

Accompanied by a member of the Bolton Museum Team, you’ll follow a trail, find clues along the way and work out which story you’ll hear on the day.

Each house holds a magical story.

When you reach the right house, you can join in with the interactive story telling.

At the end of the session, you’ll take a craft home with you - perhaps a Gingerbread Man to ice or a key ring to decorate.

Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member with responsibility for museum services, Cllr Hilary Fairclough, said:

“This is a wonderful way for the children to get creative and have some outdoor fairy tale fun, and great for Grandparents too.”

As it is an outdoor activity so come dressed for the weather – we can’t promise ‘magical weather’ - and let us know if you have any accessibility needs so we can accommodate them.

You can also enjoy the Magical Stories self-led trail around the grounds of Smithills Hall throughout the week.

Starting Sunday 30 May, the self-led trail is free.  No need to book, just come along and have some outdoor fun.
