Bolton Museum is back! We are open, safe and have Half Term activities for everyone.

Can you survive the Bolton Museum Bear Hunt?

To welcome back our younger visitors, we have a special Teddy Bear hunt all week from Saturday 29 May to Saturday 5 June.

There are eight different bears hidden around the Museum on our special sensory trail.

All you need to do is find the bears, follow their instructions and find the Bear Selfie Station to receive your “I Survived the Bear Hunt” certificate and sticker.

All Teddy Bears welcome.

Do you know how plants, animals and even humans use colour to their advantage?

Join us at the Bolton Museum and get more of an understanding on how the natural world, art, archelogy and social history to animals and humans all use colour.

Explore the World of Colours trail, find out how colour is produced, see the selection of objects across the collection and collect stickers along the way.

Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member with responsibility for the Museum, Cllr Hilary Fairclough, said:

“Now the Museum is open we’re offering activities for everyone.

“The Teddy Bear hunt is a safe, fun activity for our younger visitors and the World of Colours exhibition is a visual treat for everyone.”

Opening Times

Bolton Museum is open from 9:00pm to 5:00pm every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at 9:30am on Wednesdays.

Closed on Sundays.
