Grants of up to £25,000 are available for social enterprises in Bolton.

The Bolton’s Fund is an investment programme for the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in Bolton, bringing together funding from Bolton Council, NHS Bolton Clinical Commissioning Group, Bolton at Home and Bolton CVS.

The scheme launched last year and VCSE groups of all sizes are invited to bid for different rounds of funding, with each round targeted at addressing a key priority in the community.

We are pleased to announce that the latest round of funding will focus on Social Enterprise. Grants between £10,000 and £25,000 are available to enable early stage enterprises to develop as well to support established enterprises improve their impact.

If you are trading or aim to trade for social purpose, or you are managing or aiming to create community assets, then this fund is for you.

Social Enterprise UK describes social enterprise as an approach taken by an organisation which has a clear social and/or environmental mission (set out in governing documents), which generates the majority of its income through trading, and reinvests the majority of its profits to further the social mission.

Groups will have until 11th December to apply and more information is available on the Bolton CVS website.

Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities, Cllr Nadim Muslim, said:
