Anyone looking for a new job, career change, apprenticeship or training opportunity, is invited to Bolton’s Jobs and Careers Fair at the Albert Halls from 2.30pm to 6.30pm on Wednesday 14th June.

Visitors can talk to more than 30 employers offering scores of local jobs and apprenticeships for young people and adults, and they are encouraged to meet our friendly helpers who will be on hand to guide them through what’s on offer.

Regular job fairs, organised by Bolton Council’s Digital Employment Skills (DES) team, have received glowing feedback from employers and job seekers who have attended previous events.

In addition to jobs and apprenticeships, there will be free careers advice, information on job related training, further and higher education, computing and digital skills, language courses including ESOL, and CV writing workshops.

Budding entrepreneurs can also get help and advice on self-employment and business start up opportunities.

It is all free to attend and visitors are encouraged to bring their CV with them so they don’t miss out on their dream job.

As more services move online, the council will also be asking people about how they use digital technology and what support they might need to get better connected so they can access every opportunity.

The survey goes live from 14 June until 12 July, so please let us know your views either at the event or online via https://www.bolton.gov.uk/directory/13/consultations/category/195.

Bolton Council Deputy Leader Cllr Akhtar Zaman, whose portfolio includes Skills, Development and Regeneration said:

“As a council, we are fully committed to supporting local businesses to find the right candidates and to helping our residents secure fulfilling employment.

“The last jobs fair was a huge success in attracting hundreds of visitors, many of whom secured quality employment, apprenticeships and job training opportunities.

“It’s a great opportunity for young people, parents, carers, and anyone else looking for a career move, so please do drop in and talk directly with employers as it could boost your career options.”
