0-19 Health and Wellbeing Service

We are part of Bolton NHS Foundation Trust and deliver services to support the health and wellbeing of expectant parents and families with babies, children and young people aged 0-19 (up to age 25 for those with special educational needs).

Our service comprises of Public Health Nursing (Health Visitors, School Nurses, Nursery Nurses), the Immunisation Team, Enhancing Families, Healthy Families, Early Years Communication and Language Development Service and Adolescent Health Services.

Well Baby Clinics

Well Baby Clinics are run by appointment only. Please book an appointment with your Public Health Nurse using the telephone numbers below.

Bumps, Boobs and Buggies Walking Group

A gentle walk that is suitable for prams, toddlers and slings. Getting out in the fresh air is a great way to improve well-being and to meet other mums.  Family and friends welcome. No need to book.

Immunisation Service

In the UK, every child is offered a series of vaccinations to help protect them from serious diseases (8 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks, 12 months and beyond). Contact your GP surgery if you have not received these or have missed an appointment.

Breastfeeding support

Get support and advice from your Public Health Nursing Team. Contact the infant feeding support team on 01204 462339 for advice, and to make an appointment.

Birth registration in Bolton

You must make an appointment to register your baby's birth within 42 days, in the town or city where your baby was born.

For babies born in Bolton, a registration appointment can be made by calling 01204 331185. Unfortunately, the online booking system is unavailable at the moment.

Baby Budgeting (and Beyond!)

Delivered by Bolton's Money Skills Service at your local family hub. A one hour information session planned for parents of children aged 0 - 12 months, and expectant parents welcome. Covering topics such as budgeting, making your money go further, saving tips, and money saving new parent hacks. Children are welcome to attend.
