There are a number of adult learning courses (19+) available online which you can access to enhance your skills for work and personal wellbeing. These courses are designed to help you find work, explore a change of career and give you the opportunity to step into learning online whilst our colleges and training providers are temporarily closed.

Adult and community learning provision

Our adult and community learning provision is delivered by Bolton College and contributes towards the Bolton Vision Plan 2030 to see an active, connected and prosperous Bolton.  A wide range of courses are available and delivered across Bolton in adult-centered supportive environments.  Whether you are a new learner or a returning learner, our accessible programmes will boost your confidence,  refresh your skills, help you to develop skills for employment and career progression, gain essential qualifications and support your personal development and wellbeing.  From joining computing to cookery, health to hairdressing and employability to English or Maths you can be assured that the friendly Community Learning Team will ensure you have a positive learning journey every step of the way.

Community Learning is for adults (age 19+) and aims to meet the needs of local communities and individuals. It is offered in venues across Bolton including the following college centres:

  • Brownlow Fold Community Learning Centre
  • Deane and Derby Community Learning Centre
  • Deane Road Campus
  • New Bury Community Learning Centre
