The Mawdesley Players will be performing Agatha Christie’s ‘A Witness for the Prosecution’, in aid of the Mayor of Bolton’s charities. The chamber was used as courtroom from 1873-1937 when the town hall was built, before being used for council meetings.

The performance takes place on Sunday 16 June at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 which includes a complimentary drink in the interval. They are available from the Mayor’s Office on 01204 331090.

“I would be delighted if you could support me with this exciting fundraising event in aid of my charities,” said the Mayor of Bolton, Councillor Hilary Fairclough.

“Everyone is welcome and I hope to see you on the night.”
