Comedy legend Peter Kay has confirmed four more hometown shows exclusively for Bolton residents.
After his recent sell-out charity performances at the Albert Halls, the Bolton funnyman has now announced more shows in January.
His homecoming saw him on stage at the venue for the first time in over 20 years, and it was clear the people of Bolton wanted to see more.
Cllr Akhtar Zaman, Leader of Bolton Council, said:
“It’s an honour to welcome Peter Kay back to the Albert Halls, the jewel in Bolton’s crown, for the second time.
“The first round of shows sold out straight away so it’s fantastic that the public will have the opportunity to buy tickets again.
“In addition to raising more vital funds for Bolton Hospice who provide care and support for local residents and their families.”
Cllr Debbie Newall, Bolton Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, said:
“I’m delighted that Bolton gets to host Peter Kay once again, shining a light on home grown talent.
“Bringing events like this to the town not only creates once in a lifetime experiences for local people but gives a boost to local businesses.
“We have a culture worth celebrating here in Bolton and this is the perfect way to do it.”
As in previous shows, all profits will support Bolton Hospice and tickets are strictly limited to residents with a Bolton (BL) postcode.
Tickets go on general sale Friday 17th July at 10am.
