"They're behind you" is a popular shout during pantomime season.

Pantomime 2025But when it comes to staging a festival family spectacular, it seems everyone is behind Bolton.

That's according to a recent industry survey that declared Bolton the "UK's Christmas Panto Capital" with more live shows happening across December than anywhere else in the country.

In addition to the many shows at venues across the borough there is something for everyone available this month at the Albert Halls.

Tickets are still available for The New Adventures of Peter Pan, featuring spectacular scenery, dazzling costumes, amazing special effect and lots of audience participation.

After a sell-out run in 2024, “Santa LIVE!” has returned to the Albert Halls with a brand-new adventure.

All tickets are available on the Albert Halls website.

Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member, Cllr Nadeem Ayub, said:

“It’s no secret by now that Bolton is Born to Perform, so it should come as no surprise that that we’ve been declared the UK’s panto hotspot.

“Both Santa Live and this year’s pantomime, The New Adventures of Peter Pan, are proving hugely popular with audiences.

“But there is still time to grab your tickets and see what all the fuss is about.”
