With just three days to go until P!NK kicks off her Summer Carnival World Tour 2023 in Bolton, final preparations are underway to welcome tens of thousands of people to the top music event.

Concert-goers have been advised to plan their journeys in advance with almost 70,000 fans flocking to the University of Bolton Stadium across the two event days on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th June.

To make travel to and from the stadium as stress-free as possible, key partners, including Bolton Wanderers Football Club, Bolton Council, transport operators, and Greater Manchester Police have well-rehearsed event travel and transport plans in place.

This includes a traffic management system to avoid over-congestion on public transport and on the roads on both the 7th and 8th June.

For those wishing to drive there will be very limited spaces available at the University of Bolton Stadium so parking needs to be purchased in advance.

There is still expected to be heavy traffic congestion in the area between 2:00pm and 9:30pm on both days from concertgoers arriving, and then again from approx. 10:30pm when visitors exit the stadium concert site.

Letters have been sent in advance to local businesses and residents to help raise awareness of the concerts and to outline the various measures in place to manage the event and reduce the impact it may cause to those working and living in the area.

Phil Mason, Chief Operating Officer at Bolton Wanderers said: "We're delighted P!NK has chosen Bolton as the first UK date on her Summer Carnival World Tour and we're looking forward to welcoming concert-goers from across the UK as well as the town and wider region for the concert.

"Our stadium has a huge amount to offer in the hours leading up to the concerts for those who would like to make the most of the event days.

“Our inaugural Burnden Parklife festival will be open from midday to 4pm across the Fan Zone and Catering Village, offering a variety of food and drink options as well as live music performances.

“In addition, Bolton Stadium Hotel will open the doors of its Pure Bar from midday where concert-goers can enjoy a live DJ, street food and cocktails amongst much more!

“We want everyone to enjoy themselves so our advice to all those attending the concerts is to plan your journey in advance and give yourself plenty of time to get to the stadium.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone to the University of Bolton Stadium for two fabulous nights of fun.”

A trio of guests will accompany P!NK for two nights at the University of Bolton Stadium which include DJ and producer KidCutUp who will get the party started and is well known to the P!NK audience as he was special guest on the ‘Beautiful Trauma World Tour’.

Hot off the back of her viral breakout single ‘abcdefu’, 17-year-old Nashville born singer-songwriter GAYLE will be making her first UK live show appearance since her stunning Reading and Leeds festival appearances in 2022, and Irish rock band The Script will be playing hits from their incredible 14-year career which has seen them score five UK number 1 albums, 30 million single sales, 11 million album sales, 13 million monthly Spotify listeners, over 6 billion streams, and 2 million tickets sold across headline shows globally.

Renowned for her undeniably breath-taking live shows with colossal production, teamed with her world-class talent, P!NK is set to deliver yet another impressive landmark in her already phenomenal career and wow her fans with a truly unforgettable live experience.

The concerts will be held in the stadium, with music starting at 5:30pm and finishing by 11:00pm on each day.

Rehearsals and sound tests will be taking place on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th June between the hours of 18:00 and 23:00 which will include the discharge of pyrotechnics and fireworks and as a result, these will generate noise and music and visual effects that will be both seen and heard in the surrounding area.
