A junction improvement scheme at Manchester Road / Trinity Street / Lower Bridgeman Street will require some overnight road closures from September 14 until September 30.

Resurfacing work will take place overnight from 8pm to 5.30am, and there will be some road and lane closures during this time.

Diversions will be in place and the junction will remain open to traffic at all other times.

The project is funded by the Greater Manchester Local Growth Deal and delivered by Bolton Council and Transport for Greater Manchester as part of the Salford Bolton Network Improvement programme.

A spokesperson for Bolton Council said:

“We know that there may be some disruption to residents, commuters and businesses whilst these improvements are made.

“The council would like to take this opportunity to apologise in advance for any inconvenience and to thank you for your patience whilst these important works are carried out.”

The scheme was announced in February this year and aims to make the junction safer for all road users.
