Bolton Learning and Skills Fair 2022 – 8 September 10am to 3pm, Victoria Square

Bolton Learning and Skills Fair 2022 brings hundreds of learning and skills opportunities to Bolton town centre!

There will be the opportunity to find out about digital bootcamps which offer free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks and include IT support, cloud computing and cyber security amongst many others.

We will be running a digital drop in where you can get help on the day with your smartphone, tablet or laptop.

There will also be health and wellbeing and community learning taster sessions throughout the day.

We will have around 30 stands at the event which will be zoned.

The Adult Learning and Skills Zone is for anyone looking to change job, gain a qualification for career progression, access higher education, learn a new skill or hobby. 

The Apprenticeship Zone is an opportunity to find out about opportunities to learn while you earn on one of the many apprenticeship programmes available in Bolton for young people and adults.

The Digital and ESOL Zone is designed to get help to use your smartphone, tablet or laptop and find out about free digital courses, and where to access public Wi-Fi and computers. 

The Employment and Careers Zone is your chance to find out about employment support provision which includes access to free and impartial careers advice and practical help with work clothing. 

And finally, the Social Enterprise and Business Start Up Zone is for anyone with a new business idea or interested starting a Social Enterprise. There will be free business planning and start up incentives to build, develop and grow your business idea!

The event is organised by the Digital, Employment and Skills team based within the Bolton Library and Museum Service.

Deputy Leader of the council, Cllr Hilary Fairclough said:

“There will be lots of information and guidance on offer whether you are looking for work, to upskill or retrain.

“The event is a great opportunity to speak face to face with training providers and you’ll have access to a range of support to help you on your career journey.”
