Summer holidays - Saturday July 23 to Sunday September 4 Bolton Central Library and Museum – free activities

Join us for lots of family friendly fun at Bolton Central Library and Museum during the school holidays every day from Saturday July 23 to Sunday September 4 between 11am and 3pm.

We’ll have a range of craft activities, handling tables, films, trails, stories and much more to keep everyone entertained, and it’s all free!

Week beginning:

July 25 - Jump into our time machine and travel back to the time of the dinosaurs

August 1 - Join us in our submarines as we dive deep under the ocean to explore the sea.

August 8 - Are you up to a challenge? Then join this year’s Summer Reading Challenge and meet the Gadgeteers.

August 15 - Find out how you can help the environment.

August 22 - Be a Superhero!

August 29 - Visit the future, the robots will be waiting.

Fish feeds

During the school holidays there will be fish feeds on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1pm. Join our aquarium experts to find out more about our Freshwater fish collection.

Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, Cllr Anne Galloway said: 

“We are excited to be able to offer all families the chance to take part in these free summer activities.   

“Children can enjoy their school holiday being active, playing and having fun with friends.

“I would encourage families to come and join in.”

Smithills Hall - Fantastic Fridays are back!
