Bolton Council’s Libraries and Museums Service has arranged a fun-packed programme of events across the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend.
Taking place at Central Library and across the borough, there will be something for everyone including tea parties, crafts, and story time.
All the events are free with no need to book and more information is available on the Facebook page.
Bolton is going all out to celebrate this historic occasion with an exciting programme of events in the town centre.
The Decades of Music concert will take place in Victoria Square on the Friday (June 3) from noon until 10pm.
That will be followed by the very special Picnic on the Square in Victoria Square on the Saturday (June 4) from noon to 6pm.
Sunday June 5 will see a civic procession starting from Bolton Town Hall at 2.10pm and heading to the Parish Church.
Bolton residents can also share their Platinum Jubilee memories with The Libraries and Museum team. (Details below).
Bolton Council Deputy Leader, Cllr Hilary Fairclough, said:
“This will be a truly historic weekend which children and young people will remember for a very long time.
“We have a packed schedule of events at libraries across the borough to help families celebrate together.
“Alongside the showpiece events taking place in the town centre, Bolton’s Platinum Jubilee weekend will offer something for everyone.”
Events at Bolton Central Library:
From 11am to 3pm across the four-day weekend there will be a range of free activities.
All week, visitors can take part in the Queen’s Corgi trail. Find the book throne and get a photo in the Queen’s carriage.
