The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Linda Thomas said:

“We are delighted to be joined once more by Bolton’s own Lancashire Artillery (volunteers) Military Band.

It certainly promises to be another special and memorable evening given that this year marks the Centenary of the founding of the Royal British Legion.

I feel it is so important to continue to remember all those who have paid the ultimate price in the service of our great country and those whose lives were or indeed still are affected by conflicts all over the world.

“On Remembrance Sunday, I will be on Victoria Square for the Civic Service joined by Veterans of all ages, Military, Cadets, Youth organisations and Civic Dignitaries.

“I also warmly welcome members of the public to join us for this occasion.”
