Description

Have your say on the the new Single Assessment process for children, young people and families.

We are currently developing a new Single Assessment process for children, young people and families in Bolton, and we would love to hear your views.  As a parent or carer, your experience and perspective of Early Help are incredibly important. By completing this short survey, you can help us make sure the proposed assessment is clear, respectful, easy to understand, and focused on what matters most to children and families.

What is being proposed?

The proposed single assessment form is designed to be continuous and proportionate to the needs of the child and family. It involves gathering, analysing, and understanding information to determine what help a child and family need. The assessment should be updated as new information emerges, and the child must remain at the centre of the assessment process. This replaces the numerous assessments which are currently used within the local authority- such as Early Help and Child and Family Assessment.

Your feedback will be used to:

  • Improve the final design of the new Single Assessment Form.
  • Make sure family voices are reflected throughout the process.
  • Help shape how practitioners work alongside families in the future.
