"At last, somewhere I feel safe, I love my new foster home."

Bolton is currently recruiting carers who are able to give a home to a teenager.

Fostering means caring for a child or children who are not your own. Fostering can involve caring for children for a very short time, such as an overnight stay, to a few months or sometimes many years until they reach independence.

Children may have experienced domestic crises, abuse, illness, addiction or neglect. By deciding to become a foster carer for Bolton, you will be making a positive contribution to a child’s life.  We are looking for exceptional people to make positive life choices.

Bolton is recruiting carers who are able to give a home to a child or children over the age of 10. People who can commit to a young person and invest time and energy to ensuring that they have the best possible transition into adulthood.

You don’t have to be super-human to care for teenagers but you do need to have some understanding of bringing up teenagers, probably from your own experience or through your work. Just as importantly, you need to have good communication skills, be able to provide consistent boundaries and have a good sense of humour.
