All local authorities must have a Disabled Children's Register (DCR) under the Children's Act 1989 although it is voluntary to join. It is a register of families with children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) aged 0 to 25 years.
The information that you give, will help the people who work with you and your child to plan and develop services to meet the needs of families of disabled children and young people in Bolton, both now and in the future.
