Overview
We are responsible for making sure that eligible children have the correct travel arrangements to get to their nearest suitable qualifying school (or other relevant institutions).
The following pages explain the available support. They should be used as a guide, but for complete details please see the full policies in the downloads section.
If you are a parent or carer with a disability and are unable to accompany your child to school along a walking route that would otherwise require adult supervision, you may be eligible for travel assistance. Please email ITU.applications@bolton.gov.uk for further information.

Please note: Applications received in August may not be assessed before the start of the new school year in September. You may need to make your own travel arrangements until a decision has been made.
