Bolton's Food & Drink Festival - Booking info!

Sunday 25th & Monday 26th August – Bolton’s Food & Drink Festival & Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) –Young People’s Offer - Now open to all!

Aged 10 plus? We have a fantastic opportunity for your son/daughter to take part in some free professional chef-led ‘cook and dine’ sessions as part of Boltons’ Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) programme and our 19th Annual Food & Drink Festival 2024. The sessions take place over the bank holiday weekend in Bolton’ Town Hall and last just over 1 hour. Each young person will have their own cooking workstation and equipment to follow the chef as they demo the recipe and cook the food themselves! After each session young people will be able to eat what they’ve cooked (hopefully), receive a drink and a £5 voucher to spend on sweet treats from vendors at the festival. Staff from the Youth & Play Service will be supporting each session. We can’t provide transport, so you will need to drop your son/daughter to and collect from the sessions yourself or they are welcome to make their own way down. If you do book, please turn up as the places will be wasted otherwise! Please be aware that Bolton Council will process your details in order to book your son/daughter onto the sessions.

The ‘Cook & Dine’ options that we have left are as follows:

Sunday 25th August: Festival Hall (150 places per session)

11.15am: Healthier lunch box - Burrito with marinated chicken fillets, BBQ Beans and corn, spring onion and carrot shavings.  Followed by nachos, guacamole / sour cream with chive and a pineapple salsa.

1pm: Healthier lunch box as above, with a special guest!

Monday 26th August: Lancaster Suite (12 places per session)

10.30am: Carrot, Courgette, and poppy seed muffins with Andrew George
