School uniforms
For those who qualify we will be issuing vouchers for School Clothing Allowance for the Academic Year 2026/27 without the need to complete an application form.
Vouchers will be issued based on the following criteria:
- they are in receipt of Free School Meals on 10th July 2026 and
- will be in a qualifying year (Year 7 or 9) for the Academic Year 2026/27
In mid-August 2026 anyone who has not received a voucher for the Academic Year 2026/27 will receive one if the following criteria applies:
- they are in receipt of Free School Meals at that point
- they will be in a qualifying year (Year 7 or 9) for the Academic Year 2026/27 and
- a voucher has not already been issued
Anyone else who requires assistance with School Clothing Allowance will need to make a claim to the Cash First scheme which is part of the Crisis and Resilience Fund.
The procedure to apply for School Clothing Allowance through the Cash first scheme will be available from 1st October 2026.
