We have been asked by the National County Lines Coordination Centre to share the attached guidance with all licensed taxi and private hire drivers.
County lines activity often involves the exploitation of children and vulnerable adults who are used to transport and supply drugs between different areas. Taxis and private hire vehicles can sometimes be used as part of this criminal activity, often without the driver being aware.
The attached guidance has been produced to help drivers recognise potential signs of exploitation and understand how to report any concerns.
We would encourage you to take a few minutes to read the guidance and keep this information in mind whilst carrying out your work.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued commitment to public safety.
