Greater Manchester Accessible Transport Ring and Ride taxis - Taxi trade updates

Greater Manchester Accessible Transport Ltd is the operator of the Ring & Ride Service across Greater Manchester.

The Service which provides door to door assisted transport for residents who have difficulty accessing mainstream public transport, operates seven days a week from 8am to 11pm.

GMATL have accounts with a number of local taxi operators to support the service and provide essential cover during vehicle breakdowns and shortages, thus ensuring that pre booked journeys can be honoured.

 Ring & Ride passengers are considered vulnerable, and it is therefore essential that drivers provide the same door to door service, to ensure that the passengers gain safe access to their destination.

Passengers pay the taxi driver their normal Ring & Ride fare in cash, with GMATL paying the balance by monthly BACS upon receipt of a detailed invoice.
