B5235 Lower Leigh Road – Resurfacing and Drainage work - Bolton’s Highway Schemes

Carriageway resurfacing and drainage work on the B5235 Lower Leigh Road (from Hindley Road to Wigan Boundary) is due to start on the 14th July 2025 for approximately two weeks, weather permitting.

Temporary traffic signals will enable two-way traffic along most of the length, however the short unclassified section from the B5235 to Hindley Road at the north side of Lower Leigh Road will be closed while works take place there.

Access to properties will be maintained, however there will be times during the works when access will be restricted. During the works can residents please keep the above roads clear of vehicles during the working day to enable the works to be undertaken. The contractor undertaking the works will advise residents nearer the time.
