Manager and Secretary of Edgworth Industrial Co-operative Society.
He began working for the Society as a boy, worked his way up to branch manager in 1916 and was appointed General Manager and Secretary 1932. He retired in June 1946.
Represented Chapeltown Ward from 1938.
Manager of Edgworth Methodist School and the National Children's Home and Orphanage at Crowthorn, Edgworth.
Methodist - he was Society Steward at Edgworth Methodist Church and held every lay office there.
