David Chadwick

First represented Westhoughton Central Ward on Westhoughton Town Council from 1994 to 1998 and from 2005.

Leader of Westhoughton Town Council from 2009.

Councillor for Westhoughton on Bolton Borough Council from 1998 to 2002. Councillor for Westhoughton South on Bolton Borough Council from 2007.

For many years a member of SWAN (Save Westhoughton Act Now) and Chair of Bolton Branch for the Protection of Rural England.

Governor for three Westhoughton schools: St Thomas (Chequerbent), Eatock School and Westhoughton High School. Also a Foundation Trustee of Rivington and Blackrod High School.

Trustee for Senior Solutions, Westhoughton which provides services for the elderly.

Member of the Cabinet on Bolton Council with responsibility for Highways and Transport and Community Services.

Council spokesperson for Transport for Greater Manchester.

His son Matthew Chadwick was also a Westhoughton Town Councillor for White Horse Ward from 2002 to 2010.

His daughter, Victoria, was his Mayoress.
