Alcohol Consumption Public Space Protection Order review 2023

Bolton Council welcomes your views to help us review the Alcohol Consumption Public Space Protection Order [PSPO] for the Borough of Bolton.

The Alcohol PSPO enables Greater Manchester Police [GM Police] and any other authorised officer to challenge alcohol-related crime and anti-social behaviour in a public place.

A Designated Public Protection Order was originally granted in 2012 and became a PSPO under the Anti-social behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. The current PSPO was last renewed in 2020 and is due to expire on 18th October 2023.  We are now seeking to renew it for a further 3 years and would like feedback from the public and key stakeholders.
