Proposed gating and fencing to Bryn & Dingle Walk, Halliwell

Bolton Council is seeking a Public Spaces Protection Order to allow for lockable gates and fencing to be installed across land located to the south of Bryn Walk & Dingle Walk in Halliwell.  This is being pursued in response to repeated instances of crime and anti-social behaviour – primarily offences such as robberies and on-street substance misuse – occurring at this location.  Bolton Council, Bolton at Home and the emergency services will hold keys for the gates where they cover the footpath [directly to the rear of 13 to 18 Downhall Green].

The Council must be sure that this is the right thing to do, so as a local resident, land or property owner, someone who works in the area, or other interested party, it's very important that you give us your views to help us decide whether to go ahead with this scheme or not.
