Supporting people with additional needs in Adult Social Care

Some adults require extra support due to physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, sensory impairments, or age-related conditions. In the UK, adult social care services aim to promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing for individuals with additional needs.

How to Access Support

An assessment will determine eligibility for funded care or support services. You may be eligible for direct payments to arrange your own care. Charities and advocacy groups can also provide guidance.

Rights and Safeguarding

The Care Act 2014 ensures fair access to care and support.
