Citizens Advice Bury and Bolton  - Provide advice for the Bolton, Bury and wider communities. 

National Debt Helpline - Provide free, expert debt advice to help and support people to deal with their debts themselves. 

Money Helper - Free and impartial debt and borrowing advice from this service created by the Government. 

Credit unions – Bolton Council - Credit union is a friendly, local alternative to banks or building societies that offer accessible savings facility and low interest loans to members. 

Local Welfare Provision - help in a crisis or emergency – Bolton Council - Bolton Council has a Local Welfare Provision (LWP) scheme that helps people in short-term crisis with food and essential items. 

Household Support Fund – Bolton Council - The Department for Work and Pensions introduced the Household Support Fund (HSF) in October 2021.  This fund may help with the cost of food, gas, electric or household goods, You do not need to receive benefits to apply for this help.
