You must clean up after your dog on all public land.

Failure to clean up after your dog is an offence for which there is a fixed penalty fine of £80 or even prosecution at the magistrates’ court. This can result in a fine of up to £1,000.

How to report it

We only remove reports of dog fouling on children's play areas. All others will be removed on the next scheduled street clean.

If you can provide information that might help to identify offender(s) i.e. description of dog, regular time of offence, car registration, address of offender(s) then this may be used to prioritise patrols or enforcement action.

No fouling pavement stencils

Between May and September we can apply stencils to pavements in areas where dog fouling is an issue.
