Children's residential service provides support, care and accommodation for young people aged 10-17 of either gender that are unable to live with their own family.
The aim of residential care is to offer a safe and secure environment where young people can live and reach their full potential and help deal with past experiences.
The council run four residential homes. All homes have a manager, deputy manager and a team of residential support workers.
The type of service provided includes:
- Emergency placements
- Medium/long term placements
- Outreach work with families
- Planned respite.
All homes are regulated through Ofsted and inspected twice a year.
