Nationality checking service
Citizenship ceremonies
Citizenship Ceremonies are held at The Albert Halls on a monthly basis. Prior to attending a Citizenship Ceremony you will need to obtain approval from the Home Office to become a British Citizen. The application for British Citizenship should be forwarded to the Home Office direct (please see the Home Office Website link on the right) or if you prefer you can attend at Bolton Register Office for the Nationality Checking Service (further details below).
Once you have received approval from the Home Office to become a British Citizen you will receive an invitation letter which will allow you to book a Citizenship Ceremony. Within the ceremony you will be required to swear an oath/affirmation and pledge that you will be a loyal citizen to the Queen and Country. It is only once you have attended a Citizenship Ceremony that you can receive your Certificate of Naturalisation which is needed in order to apply for a British Passport. This applies to all new citizens aged 18 or over, minors do not need to undergo the Citizenship Ceremony however they are very welcome do so, if they wish.
Group Ceremonies are held at The Albert Halls each month however it is possible to book a private ceremony at an additional cost and this would be held at Bolton Register Office.
All of our advisers are registered with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner.
