A vacancy exists for a Neighbourhood Watch Liaison Officer to work from home for Westhoughton Town Council.
The post is for 6 flexible hours per week and the salary will be discussed at the interview. Applicants must have their own transport, and travelling and telephone expenses will be paid.
The Neighbourhood Watch Liaison Officer will be proactive and self-motivated, with a commitment to positively promote the benefits of Neighbourhood Watch and crime prevention by organising Neighbourhood Watch Meetings, encouraging and assisting with the formation of new schemes and ensuring as far as possible the continuation of existing schemes. They will liaise with the Police and Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinators and keep records up to date. The successful applicant will be DBS checked.
The Neighbourhood Watch Liaison Officer will also work closely with Councillors to deliver the objectives of Neighbourhood Watch and represent the Town Council in a positive way.
